Uniting Rodney King & George Floyd Families

During the spring of 2020, George Floyd’s death sparked a series of protests and riots all over The United States. For those who remember, Floyd became the most talked about person in the entire country. Rodney King’s daughter Lora King and I had become close friends in 2018. After the dust settled from George Floyd’s death, we reached-out to his sister Bridgett Floyd and brought together their two families for the very first time. We flew both families to Washington D.C., for a private tour of The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture - while it was closed to the general public. Good Morning American came along and captured the historic moment on film, which aired on national television.
